The ARE-TEC Blog: All Things IDX, Website, and Techno-geek

The Rockstar Debut

HEY.  ---> Look here...

See that?  That's our rockstar of a client, and the first from San Antonio.  Which means:

ARE-TEC is pleased to announce that our IDX solution is now available to all members of SABOR - the San Antonio Board of Realtors.

It takes a lot of time and energy to start a business and grow it into something sucessful.  You all know that from developing own businesses as agents.  So we hope you won't mind if we take a minute to share our successes and growth.

I know Matt is still working on the rest of his site, tweaking his design and content and whatnot.  He's also got a blog here at AR.  But the MLS search for San Antonio on his site?  Ready to go.  I'm so excited for him, I can't wait to see his final version and to help him figure out how best to integrate our MLS search and widgets into his site.

This is going to be fun.

So.  Who wants to be next?

You're all in for a treat.  I know you know it, but its such an awesome search.  You should see people's faces when I show it to them.  Combine it with some of the knowledge and blogging power you all have....look out world.  To top it off, Kelley and Chris have been awesome outside of the ARE-TEC stuff and I look forward to meeting them some day and thanking them in person.

PS Thanks for the links Kelley!  The AG post went back to draft mode at some point (no clue why, so I just had to repost it).

OMG that is gorgeous - I love the way the photos flip.  I want it too, our IDX is sooo ugly! Congrats!

Kelley,

Very attractive and user friendly.  About time for new initiatives in this space.  Congrats.

Real estate agents, this kind of display of real estate listings is very attractive to consumers and I found I didn't want to leave the site right away.  Get sticky.  Great job Kelley.

Kelly,

A question about how IDX works. Are all of the MLS listings available for viewing through an IDX portal, or are only those listings associated with firms who have opted into IDX visible? If a firm does not opt into IDX, are their listings withheld from the public viewing via IDX?

Posted by Tim Bradley, CCIM Jackson Wyoming Commercial Real Estate (Contour Investment Properties) about 1 year ago

Tim - you can only display those that have opted in.

Great post thanks for sharing....

j/k ;)

I mentioned ARE-TEC as one of my new favorite IDX solutions here and encourage everyone who's in (or should be in) the market for great Listing interface to give them a test drive.  Its very cool to see such innovation come from someone within the real estate industry...creating and bringing a product to market is one of the hardest things to do in business, period.  Congrats Kelley! and Chris too!

Congratulations -- I like the look of your product -- I do mainly on-site projects sales -- but was thinking of adding IDX to my sites -- thanks for sharing -- JE
